When you use the Service, Ascenly may collect the following personal information about you.
To create an Ascenly account, you provide us with your email address and a password. This information is required to access the Service.
After you register, you may optionally provide profile information to help us personalize your experience. This may include your age, profession, gender, marital status, location (city and country), the significant people in your life, and the topics you wish to focus on. All profile fields are optional and can be skipped or left blank at any time. You can update or remove your profile information within the app.
When you use the Service, you may create and submit content as part of your coaching experience, such as written entries and responses.
Ascenly offers an optional voice input feature that allows you to dictate your entries. If you use this feature, your audio is processed by your device's speech recognition service to convert it into text. Ascenly does not store your audio recordings. You may skip voice input and type your entries instead at any time.
When you use the Service, we may collect data about your use of the app, including your device type, operating system, app version, and log data. We use this information to monitor performance, diagnose issues, and improve the Service.
Ascenly uses your information to provide and improve the Service. This includes using the content you submit and your profile information to deliver your coaching experience, as well as to detect and fix bugs, perform research, and provide customer support.
Ascenly may share your personal information with third-party service providers that help us operate and improve the Service, including cloud infrastructure providers, analytics tools, and customer support platforms.
Ascenly uses AI to deliver personalized coaching and content based on your profile and the content you submit. To do this, your information is sent to a third-party AI provider. Our agreement with this provider means they are not permitted to use your personal information for their own purposes. We do not use your personal information to train AI models.

If you purchase an Ascenly subscription, your payment is processed by Apple. Ascenly may share data with a third-party subscription management provider to track your subscription status and ensure you have access to the correct features. Ascenly does not store your payment details.
Ascenly may process and share personal information if necessary to comply with legal requests, such as subpoenas or court orders. We may also share personal information when we believe it is necessary to comply with law, protect our interests or property, prevent fraud or other illegal activity, or assist law enforcement.

Ascenly will retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal information will be deleted from our systems as soon as reasonably practicable. We may retain certain information for a limited period if required to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.
Ascenly is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us at hello@ascenly.app and we will delete the account and associated personal information promptly.
